A colleague forwarded me a spam email from Lighthouse Journal Publication (also called Lighthouse Journals), and when I was investigating the publisher I discovered a second publisher, Blaze Journals, that looks almost exactly like the first. Both publishers claim this address as their headquarters:
64 Sunrise Avenue Chelmsford, Essex CM1 4JP United Kingdom
I looked at this address in Google Maps and observed a series of row houses in a neighborhood. It didn’t appear to be a publishing headquarters with two imprints. I then looked at the domain name registration data for both publishers, and for Lighthouse Journals I found this:

I think both publishing brands are being run from Nigeria by a single person, and he uses the address of a friend or relative in the U.K. to make it look like the operation is headquartered there. Both publishers launched recently with 20 new journals each. The look and feel of the two websites are identical. Much of the administrative content on the two sites is lifted from other publishers without attribution. Blaze Journals uses boastful (and false) language to promote itself:
Today, the Blaze Journals is becoming a formidable force in promoting quality, originality and integrity in academic thesis, studies and research publication. We acquire, develop, market and distribute the knowledge through collaborations with academics and practitioners from around the world. All journals published by us maintain high standards of quality, originality and integrity around the world.
So does Lighthouse:
Today, the Lighthouse Journals is becoming a formidable force in promoting quality, originality and integrity in academic thesis, studies and research publication. We acquire, develop, market and distribute the knowledge through collaborations with academics and practitioners from around the world. All journals published by us maintain high standards of quality, originality and integrity around the world.
I’ve added both of these publishing brands to my list and recommend that researchers not submit papers to either one.
